<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve accuracy of mounting a magnet to a chassis as an optical pickup component, to reduce man-hour for mounting a magnet, and to improve economical efficiency of the optical pickup component. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A base fixture 20 for inserting and fixing the magnet into the chassis is mainly composed of a base 22, a clamp support part 26 erected on the base 22, and an insertion clamp member 28 supported slidably by the clamp support part 26. The insertion clamp member 28 is provided with two insertion clamp arms 280 which is U-shape in top view so as to face the chassis placed on a placing surface 220. The insertion clamp arms 280 have a function of, according to downward operation of the insertion clamp member 28, abutting on the magnet to insert and fix the magnet into the chassis.
