PURPOSE: A method for monitoring a neighbor cell in a dual standby mobile terminal is provided to integrally perform neighbor cell monitoring through a master module, thereby reducing time for turning on an RF chip. CONSTITUTION: Neighbor cell information is obtained through neighbor cell monitoring by a master module(301~305). Cell tracking by the master module and a slave module is performed(307). If a cell change event occurs in the master module, the master module performs the cell change event by the neighbor cell information(309~317). |
