FIELD: textile industry. ^ SUBSTANCE: method for production of chopped flax strands that are close to flax fiber in their spinning properties includes cutting of rotted straw. Cutting of rotted straw is done in the field at self-propelled machine with provision of fiber staple from approximately 30 to 40 mm and its partial shove removal. ^ EFFECT: possibility to eliminate primary processing of flax in flax processing plants. ^ 2 dwg
