<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a headend device or the like of a CATV system, capable of being automatically restored if a trouble due to software processing occurs. <P>SOLUTION: The headend device includes: a decision unit 11 which is connected to a tuner 30 receiving a digital television broadcast signal and for output of an analog image signal and an analog audio signal and receives the analog audio signal to detect that mute state continues for a predetermined time; and a reset unit 12 which executes operations of interrupting a power supply for driving the tuner 30 and turning on the power supply again when the decision unit 11 determines that the mute state continues for a predetermined time. If the headend is not restored, the operation for interrupting the power supply for driving the tuner 30 and turning on the power supply again is repeated per a predetermined time before the decision unit detects that the mute state is solved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
