PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste toner collector for continuously conveying toner while preventing toner leak during replacement of a waste toner collecting vessel. SOLUTION: This waste toner collector includes a plurality of collecting vessels that are disposed inside a plurality of opening/closing members, respectively, and store waste toner provided extractably by opening the opening/closing members, a conveying means for conveying waste toner to the collecting vessels, a storage propriety detecting means for detecting whether the collecting vessels store the waste toner, and an opening/closing detecting means for detecting opening or closing of the opening/closing members. When any opening/closing member is opened, and when the other opening/closing members are closed and the collecting vessels corresponding to the other opening/closing members are detected to be able to store the waste toner, the waste toner is stored to the collecting vessels corresponding to the other opening/closing members.
