<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical cable which effectively prevents degradation of a connection part due to ultraviolet rays and the like and prevents a cable part and a support line part from being easily separated. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This optical cable includes: an optical fiber core wire 11; tension bodies 12a, 12b which are arranged in parallel with the optical fiber core wire 11; a cable part 10 which has the optical fiber core wire 11 and an exterior covering 13 covering the tension bodies 12a, 12b; the support line part 20 which is arranged in parallel with the cable part 10 and supports the cable part 10; and a connection part 30 which connects the cable part 10 and the support line part 20 and has a plurality of cavities 31a, 31b extending in the length direction inside.
