<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for reproducing a recording medium, which reliably reproduces information of a selected arbitrary recording medium even when mounted on a car and vibrated during running. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A CD changer includes a disk storage, a disk reproducing section, and a disk moving mechanism. The disk storage holds CDs 2 and has a plurality of holders 19 stacked. The disk reproducing section has a clamper for clamping one selected CD 2 to rotate it. The disk moving mechanism has a separating member 41 for separating the holder 19 for holding the one CD 2 from the holders 19 for holding other CDs 2 by rotation. The separating member 41 includes a protrusion 68 which protrudes from an outer peripheral surface in contact with a tray 28 of the holder 19 for holding the one CD 2 when the clamper clamps the one CD 2 and is positioned on the surface of the tray 28 to press the outer edge of the one CD 2.
