PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knock-down type curtain wall structure capable of holding transoms to prevent them from falling upon being fitted, and of saving the fitting work of the transoms. SOLUTION: Mullions 2 are fitted to a skeleton, and self-weight receiving brackets 8 are fixed to the mullions 2 at fitting positions of the transoms. After that, the transoms 3 are extended between the self-weight receiving brackets 8 to form a frame structure for opening. Then a curtain wall panel is fitted to the frame structure for opening. The curtain wall structure which is thus constructed is provided with a fall preventive metal piece 4 arranged on an exterior side of the mullion 2 to prevent the transom 3 from falling to the exterior side.
