<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an analog output device achieving remarkably high speed response of an analog output signal while suppressing deterioration in low power performance within an allowable range. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The analog output device for outputting a signal of a desired analog output level to an external load resistor connected externally, includes: a drive voltage regulating circuit which supplies a drive voltage for outputting an analog signal to the external load resistor; an analog output level control section for controlling the desired analog output level to the external load resistor based on the drive voltage of the drive voltage regulating circuit, by means of an output transistor connected between the external load resistor and the drive voltage regulating circuit; a resistance value detection/arithmetic operation section for detecting a voltage and a current of the external load resistor, arithmetically operating the voltage and the current and obtaining a resistance value of the external load resistor; and a drive voltage control section for controlling the drive voltage of the drive voltage regulating circuit in accordance with the resistance value arithmetically operated by the resistance value detection/arithmetic operation section.
