The motor has an external impeller arranged at a motor shaft at a front side of the motor, and a cover (1) for externally covering the impeller. The impeller blows cool air between ribs provided at an external side of a motor housing, and rib-shaped guide vanes (6) project at an inner wall (5) of the cover. The guide vanes are aligned with ends of the motor ribs when the cover is attached with ends (7) of the guide vanes, where the cover is made of plastic or metal. The guide vanes exhibit shape of laminarly bulged strip sections for deflecting the cooling air to the motor ribs.
