<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication service system and a content selecting method enabling smooth communication by fixing the correspondence of a speaker and a character depending on the attribute of the speaker and limiting the simultaneous use of the character. <P>SOLUTION: A content service system 10 determines the duplication of characters selected from image terminals 12, 14, 16 and 18, respectively, at the content management server 92 of a content management device 20, and determines different characters for the image terminals 12, 14, 16 and 18 while satisfying conditions for avoiding duplication. Images each reflecting the expression of a user are then created at the image terminals 12, 14, 16 and 18 and transmitted to the content management device 20 and downloaded to the image terminals 12, 14, 16 and 18, respectively, so that an image having an expression varying in real time is displayed thereon. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
