The invention relates to a fuel cell system and the operating method, the fuel cell system comprises a fuel cell stack, a piping arrangement and a circulating pump which is necessary when sending the cooling water to the fuel cell stack after cooling the cooling water exhausted by the fuel cell group so as to make the cooling water circulating, a fuel humidifier using the heat exchanged by the cooling water to humidify the fuel, a air humidifier using the heat exchanged by the cooling water to humidify the air, a control part which makes the circulating of the cooling water going on when the system stops, until the given cooling conditions come into existence. The fuel cell stack comprises: a laminate body formed by combining the components below, , that is: a membrane electrode conjugantwhich has an anode jointed to one side of an electrolyte membrane and a cathode joined to the other side of the electrolyte membrane, a fuel channel plate having a fuel channel for supplying a fuel to the anode, an oxidant channel plate having an oxidant channel for supplying an oxidant to the cathode, and a coolant channel plate having a coolant channel for a coolant to flow through. |
