<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knee protecting airbag device capable of stably holding an inflator even in the case of discharging swelling gas. <P>SOLUTION: In this knee protecting airbag device, the inflator 64 to be held by a retainer 69 in the peripheral surface thereof is fitted to a case 17 by using a bolt part 75 of the retainer 69. A fall preventing member 79 for preventing a fall of the inflator 64 from the case 17 by pressing an end part 64e of the inflator 64 projecting from an insert hole 24a is arranged on the peripheral side of the case 17. The fall preventing member 79 is provided with a presser plate part 81 arranged to nearly cross the axial direction of the inflator 64, a fixed part 80 arranged in one end of the presser plate part 81 and fixed to the case 17 by fastening together when fastening the nut 76 of the bolt part 75 of the retainer 69, and a lock hook 82 arranged in the other end of the presser plate part 81 so as to be locked with the case 17. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
