Implantable active medical device comprising means for calculating atrioventricular delay

The device computes atrio-ventricular delay (AVD) based on detected spontaneous and stimulated atrial events. AVD value is computed based on quaternary peak of endocardiac acceleration (EA) signal associated with atrial activity, referred as EA4 component. EA4 component parameter is determined as function of end time of EA4 component, and AVD value is determined as function of determined parameter, after pacing the ventricle with low energy stimulation pulse, in response to expiration of computed AVD and in the absence of detected spontaneous ventricular event.
