FILE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD

PURPOSE: A file management system and a method thereof are provided to shorten the mounting time by directly mapping meta data to an NVRAM(Non-Volatile Random Access Memory). CONSTITUTION: An NVRAM(110) stores meta data for controlling a block device(120), and the block device stores data. The block device includes a pure data storage region and a meta data storage region. In the mount procedure of a storage device(100), the meta data of the NVRAM is mapped to an in-memory data structure of a file system which manages the block device.
