The planes of a magnetic core storage array are respectively located in recesses on opposite sides of an insulating mounting board 400, the thickened edges A, B, C, D of the board supporting pairs of resilient connecting terminals 406, 408, 410, 412 which engage corresponding terminals of adjacent boards when several matrix planes are assembled in a stack. The board may be formed from Black Phenolic and comprises a central portion 402 of reduced thickness between the board edges A-D. Each pair of connecting terminals such as 406, Fig. 4, is embedded in a board edge so that a single terminal extends into each recess. The row and column wiring is then effected by connections 110, 210, which extend through the cores of each plane and connect adjacent connecting terminals with respective conducting pins 420, 422, 424, 426 passing through the recessed portion of the board. Other pairs of resilient connecting terminals 450, 452, 454, 456 are provided which are connected to inhibit and sense windings Z, S associated with the two matrix planes. The resilient connecting terminals may be formed from beryllium copper sheet as assembled units 666, Fig. 6, the units being moulded in the board. Subsequently, the connecting terminals are separated by removing breakaway portions 604, and 606. Alternatively, separate resilient connecting terminals 700, Fig. 9, may each be inserted in a separate hole in the mounting board edges, the terminals in this case being located by a displaced portion 712 and a cranked portion 714.
