PURPOSE: A stay device and a rigidity control device and a method of a bumper beam are provided to increase the safety of passengers and to reduce costs for repairing the vehicle by reducing damage to the vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A stay device comprises a first and a second stay part(130,110). The first stay part generates the external force is changed according to a car speed. The second stay part is combined in the first stay part. The second stay part is moved by the external force delivered from the first stay part.
