Light treatment apparatus

A skin treatment apparatus uses a light beam to facilitate hair removal. The beam can be configured to pass over the skin in a cropping direction to remove a portion of the hair above the skin in a shaving operation ( Figure 2 ) prior to being configured in a hair removal mode where the beam is directed towards the skin to deposit energy on the hair follicle to damage it.
