<p>The present invention relates to communication technology and provides a repairing algorithm used when decompression of a parameter field such as the SN with the ROHC scheme fails in a communication network. A decompressor attempts to shift an interpretation interval for decompression forward or backward when the CRC for a decompressed value fails, and then performs decoding with a new interpretation interval. If the CRC for the newly decoded value is successful, the decompressor uses the newly decompressed value as a reference value and hands it in to a high layer. Using the repairing algorithm, the decompressor can be prevented from sending a negative reply message such that the state of the compressor falls back, thereby improving robustness of the system and efficiency of the compression. The repairing method may be used to repair the decoding of a SN, TS and IP-ID in ROHC.</p> |
