PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display and a driving method thereof are provided to improve side visibility by making the side visibility close front visibility. CONSTITUTION: A pixel electrode comprises a first sub-pixel electrode(191a), a second sub-pixel electrode(191b), and a third sub-pixel electrode(191c). The thin film transistor is connected to the first sub-pixel electrode. The second thin film transistor is connected to the second sub-pixel electrode. The third thin film transistor is connected to the third sub-pixel electrode. A fourth thin film transistor is connected to the second sub-pixel electrode and the third sub-pixel electrode. The first gate line is connected to the first -third thin film transistor. The second gate line is connected to the fourth thin film transistor. The data line is connected to the first and the second thin film transistor. A sustain electrode line(131) is connected to the third thin film transistor.
