<p>A method for forming protrusions and recesses (pit pattern) easily and directly on a substrate which is composed of an inorganic matter. The method for producing a medium on which information is recorded by a pit pattern comprises a step for forming a recording material layer (21) capable of shape change of heat mode on a substrate (11) which is composed of an inorganic matter, a step for forming a plurality of holes (15) by irradiating the recording material layer (21) with condensed light, and a step for forming a plurality of pits (16) corresponding to the plurality of holes (15) in the substrate (11) by performing etching while using the recording material layer (21) having the plurality of holes as a mask.</p> |
