Method and device for checking the freshness of a fish

The method involves detecting vision of an eye of a fish placed in an auction tray by circular arcs detection algorithm based on contours, and carrying out cumulative of multiple centroids as a center of a pupil of the fish. Horizontal and vertical points of the centroids in an addressing table are averaged so as to acquire the center of the pupil of the eye of the fish. The detection step is performed by lighting the tray using a light source. An independent claim is also included for a device for non-destructive controlling of quality of a fish.
