Device for detecting and classifying residual oxide in metal sheet production lines

The device has a frame or box equipped with displacement medium on the surface of a metallic rolling to examine, in whose trough a high-resolution camera and a lighting equipment of high power and generator of diffuse light are provided. Video signals of the camera is sent to a personal computer, which is equipped with an internal software of processing of the obtained images that permits the detection and classification of the residual oxide spots. The displacement of the mentioned box or frame is controlled by a programmable automaton connected to the computer.
