The arrangement (1) has a hot steam generator (4) connected with a foaming unit (2) by a supply line (10) for supplying superheated steam (6). Milk (20) and the superheated steam are mixed in the foaming unit to form milk foam (34) under supply of ambient air (14). Another supply line (26) is permanently connected with the foaming unit, where the superheated steam and ambient air of the foaming unit are supplied over through the former supply line. The foaming unit together with the latter supply line is removed as a unit from a hot drink dispenser.
