949,831. Fluid actuation of switches. A. MARGERIE. May 30, 1960, No. 19068/60. Heading H2B. [Also in Division G1] A microswitch D coupled to the indicating needle A of a measuring instrument is actuated when a lever E, which co-operates with the microswitch, engages a member carried by a manually adjustable pointer. The needle A is driven by a Bourdon tube, diaphragm, or capsule S across a scale C and two manually adjustable pointers G, H, carrying arcs O, N respectively determine the operating pressures of the switch. On rise in pressure the switch remains closed as the lever E rides first on arc O and then arc N, but opens when it disengages arc N. On fall in pressure the switch remains open until the lever E re-engages arc O. In Fig. 2 (not shown) the indicating needle is carried by a pinion driven by a toothed sector carrying a changeover microswitch and its operating lever and the pointers are carried by pinions which drive the arcs.
