PURPOSE: A temperature control device of a water purifier and a method thereof are provided to rapidly and conveniently heat water to a predetermined temperature by controlling operation of a heater with a switch. CONSTITUTION: A temperature control device of a water purifier includes the following: a heater(300) heating water supplied to a hot water tank; a triac(200) stopping operation of the heater or operating the heater by turning on/off; and a control part(100) stopping the operation of the heater by turning off the triac when the water supplied to the hot water tank is heated to a preset temperature after determining a temperature of the water. The preset temperature of the water is 95~98°C.
