The zinc-aluminum alloy wire, containing a small amount of indium. The zinc alloy wire, has composition (by wt.) 8-33% Al, up to 500 ppm In, balance Zn and impurities. Preferred Features: The zinc alloy contains 10-24% Al, 10-300 ppm In, less than 0.1% Cu, less than 0.1% Fe and less than 1% Pb.
