PURPOSE: A mobile terminal and map display method using the same are provided to offer map information to a user in various modes without complex manipulation of a mobile terminal. CONSTITUTION: A control unit indicates a map in a touch screen(S100). The map includes the first area. The control unit receives a selection signal for selection of the second area(S110). The second area is included in the first area. The control unit collects the second area to a boundary of the second area or any reference line of inside(S120). The control unit indicates an indicator for display of the reference line(S130).
