PURPOSE: A multimedia message service providing method of the portable terminal and a device thereof are provided to checks a health between acquaintances and an acquaintance through a relay message. CONSTITUTION: A control unit decides a relay message(S401,S403). If an editing execution input of a relay image is detected, the control unit edits the relay image according to an edit mode(S409,S411). If selection of a transmission mode is detected, the control unit decides whether the transmission mode is for a next receiver(S415,S417). If the next receiver exists, the control unit transmits the relay message to the next receiver(S421,S423).
