PURPOSE: An extension alarm device for a ship and a monitoring method thereof are provided to connect a local area network cable to a switch hub without a video cable and a communication cable between an image distributor, a monitoring camera and a dedicated monitor by using a web transmitter. CONSTITUTION: A communication unit(310) receives alarm information which includes the location information of a specific point. Images from monitoring cameras which are installed around the specific point are transmitted to the communication unit. An alarm unit(320) sounds an alarm based on the received alarm information. A display unit(330) displays the received images. An input unit(340) is input identification information related to the monitoring cameras.
