CONTROLLER FOR SOLID STATE DISK OF CONTROLLING ACCESS TO MEMORY BANK

PURPOSE: A controller for a solid state disc is provided to reduce delay due to the use of the firmware by separately managing the index of the idle bank through a storage module in order to select a memory bank. CONSTITUTION: At least one idle bank index among a plurality of memory banks is saved in a prepared register(S510). At least one index is detected from the prepared register(S540). By using at least on detected index, an access about at least one idle bank is controlled(S560). At least one index is detected in consideration of the state of the channel corresponding to at least one idle bank. The access priority is given to the idle bank corresponding to a channel which has an idle sate among idle banks.
