PURPOSE: A terminal and a control method thereof are provided to improve efficiency and speed of voice recognition by deciding a type of voice information for a phone number search in advance and using a determined voice information in the voice recognition. CONSTITUTION: A microphone(122) receives voice information for a phone number search. A memory(160) stores a database for recognition of inputted voice information and database for a search of a telephone number corresponding to the voice information. A control unit(180) recognizes a voice with reference to the databases. The control unit searches the telephone number by the recognized information. A display unit(151) outputs a searched telephone numbers according to preset priority. |
