The core (1) has connection walls (12, 13) defining longitudinal interruption (9) that form a longitudinal slit, where two edges (10, 11) of the longitudinal slit are joined together by a bridge. The bridge is made of flexible material i.e. flexible PVC, by coextrusion or over extrusion, where the flexible material is in form of band. The bridge forms a hinge. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a plastic core.
