Composition (A) comprises: 10-99.9% of at least one compound (aa), which is chain extender, carrying at least two groups reacting with isocyanate groups, and 0.1-90% of a dispersion of at least one colloidal silica in the form of particles having diameter of 5-100 nm in a polar organic solvent, where the amount of silica is 0.1-55 wt.% of the composition. Independent claims are included for: (1) preparing (A) comprising: (a) dispersing colloidal silica in the form of particles in a polar organic solvent; and (b) adding a compound comprising at least two reactive groups with isocyanate groups, to the obtained mixture; (2) preparing a chain extender compound for preparation of elastomers comprising: (c) eliminating the organic solvent from (A); (3) preparing a polyurethane elastomer comprising (d) adding (A) to an isocyanate pre-polymer and/or to a mixture of polyol and isocyanate; (4) the polyurethane elastomer comprising 0.1-4.9 wt% of colloidal silica; and (5) preparing a thermoplastic polyurethane polymer implementing a composition comprising: the steps (a) and (b) as above per se; and mixing the composition with a polyol of polyether polyol, polyester polyol or polyhydroxy butadiene and isocyanate in an extrusion screw.
