<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat belt retractor and a seat belt apparatus capable of optimizing an EA load by avoiding an abrupt change of the EA load. <P>SOLUTION: A ring 19 of the retractor 1 has a first diameter-reduced portion 32 of which the radius is gradually reduced toward the downstream side in the winding direction of a plate member 20, and a second diameter-reduced portion 33 located downstream in the winding direction relative to the first diameter-reduced portion 32 whose the reducing degree of the radius is greater than that of the first diameter-reduced portion 32. The retractor has a protrusion 30 formed at the inner periphery of a large-diameter cylindrical portion 4b with a contact face 30a in contact with the end of the other end 20b of a plate member 20 to lock the plate member 20, and a recess 35 formed at the inner periphery of the large-diameter cylindrical portion located at the contact face 30a side of the protrusion 30. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
