IMAGE PROCESSING DEVICE AND IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD USING DYNAMIC IMAGE MOTION INFORMATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device using moving image motion information which can perform highly accurate positioning, while suppressing complicated calculations by using motion information between images recorded in moving image data.

SOLUTION: The image processing device uses motion information between frame images recorded in the moving image data and includes: a frame selection processing unit which specifies a standard frame and a reference frame among two or more consecutive frame images obtained by decoding the moving image data; and a motion vector cumulative-addition/conversion processing unit which calculates a motion vector value from the reference frame to the standard frame. The motion vector cumulative-addition/conversion processing unit calculates the motion vector value from the reference frame to the standard frame through calculations by cumulative addition and direction conversion, on the basis of the motion information recorded in the moving image data.
