PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crushing drier capable of reducing the drying time, large-scale drying equipment and fuel costs. SOLUTION: The crushing drier includes a supply channel 1a for a target material, a feeder 1 supplying the target material quantitatively to the supply channel 1a, a hot air channel 2a communicating with the course of the supply channel 1a, a hot air generator 2 supplying hot air to the hot air channel 2a, a crusher 3 crushing the target material, a discharge channel 4 discharging the crushed product produced by crushing in the crusher 3 and a dust collector 8 discharging the crushed product in the crusher 3 to the discharge channel 4 through a negative pressure. On crushing, crushing heat due to friction is generated; the temperature in the crusher 3 is kept high owing to the heat and hot air; and the target material is sterilized and dried at the same time by the heat. The utilization of the crushing heat greatly reduces the amount of heat supplied by the hot air generator 2, compared with conventional driers, and enables simultaneous crushing and drying and the reduction of the drying time, large-scale equipment and fuel costs.
