PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an energy storage device easily forming an identification part without performing special processing and designing separately from an essential manufacture of the energy storage device, and facilitating an identification of a positive electrode connection terminal and a negative electrode connection terminal of the energy storage device by visual observation or the like. SOLUTION: The energy storage device 1 includes: an outer packaging made of laminate films 40 and 50 for housing an energy storage element 10; and a positive electrode connection terminal 20 and a negative electrode connection terminal 30 electrically connected to a positive electrode and a negative electrode of the energy storage element 10, respectively, and protruding from the outer packaging. A positive electrode identification part 42 exists in the vicinity of a section, where the positive electrode connection terminal 20 projects, of the outer packaging by forming a part of an outer surface of the outer packaging in a protruding shape.
