PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce noise of a liquid supply device by controlling the driving speed of a pressurizing means depending on a liquid consuming speed of a recording means. SOLUTION: The liquid supply device drives the pressurizing means (pressure pump unit) for supplying a liquid to a recording means with a power corresponding to the liquid consuming speed of the recording means when a pressure detecting means (a pressure sensor 506) detects a lower pressure than a predetermined pressure while the liquid is discharged from the recording means (recording head).
