PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer which can lessen drop of the efficiency of recording that follows when a waste ink in a waste liquid tank is discarded. SOLUTION: The printer 1 which includes a waste fluid tank 6 in which the waste ink (waste fluid) discharged from a recording head 2 is stored includes waste liquid tanks 6A and 6B as the waste fluid tank 6 in which the waste ink discharged from the recording head 2 is stored.
