<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an EGR cooler suppressing local boiling of cooling water. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This EGR cooler 70 includes a casing 50 with EGR gas flowing from a gas inflow opening 40A formed in one end to a gas outflow opening 40B formed in the other end. The EGR cooler 70 also includes a cooling structure provided in the casing 50 to cool the EGR gas. The cooling structure is provided with a cooling water passage 53 forming a water cooling portion 90 cooling the EGR gas by engine cooling water, and a refrigerant portion 54 filled with a refrigerant having higher boiling point than the cooling water.
