PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multilinear stick type automatic packaging machine equipped with an individual biting detecting apparatus capable of detecting only a line wherein a content biting phenomenon actually occurs, and eliminating the line among multilinear horizontal seals. SOLUTION: The individual biting detecting apparatus is arranged on each line immediately above a cutter device, and individually operated on each line, and measures the thickness of a horizontal seal part by pinching the horizontal seal part of a sealed packaging bag successively downward conveyed by a horizontal seal mechanism. Then, when the measured thickness of the horizontal seal part exceeds a threshold set in advance, the seal part is determined to be a defective product wherein content biting is generated, and by using an individual discharging device arranged on each line immediately below the cutter device, the individual packaging body determined to be the defective product is guided to discharge the defective product.
