<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently eject a high-viscosity liquid by operating an element by a pressurizing portion and making pressure locally high at a second portion side in a first portion. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A liquid ejecting head includes a pressure chamber 424 which communicates with each of a liquid supply section and a nozzle, and the element which pressurizes the liquid in the liquid chamber when the liquid is ejected from the nozzle. The viscosity of the liquid is 8 millipascal seconds or higher. The nozzle has the first portion in which a liquid ejection side is set smaller in opening area than a pressure chamber side, and the second portion which communicates with an ejection side end of the first portion.
