A tire manufacturing device, wherein, when a non-vulcanized tire is formed by laying in layers a rubber strip by a pair of rollers, the tip of the rubber strip is reliably guided to a layering roller and held in position. A rubber strip (G) supplied from a supply means (10) is caused to pass through between a pair of rotating rollers (21, 22) and held by the lower roller (21). Then, the rubber strip (G) is moved to a body (H) to be shaped on a support body (2) and helically wound and laid in layers on the body. To supply the tip of the rubber strip (G), the rotational peripheral speed of the lower roller (21) for layering is set to be less than the rotational peripheral speed of the upper roller (22) to provide the rollers (21, 22) with a difference between the amounts of feed of the rubber strip (G). This guides the tip of the rubber strip (G) to the lower roller (21) having a less amount of feed. After the tip of the rubber strip (G) is held by the lower roller (21), the rotational peripheral speeds of the rollers (21, 22) are changed to the same level and then the rubber strip (G) is layered.
|
