<p>An electrically adjustable article of furniture such as a table or a reclining chair, comprising at least one actuator and/or lifting column (2,3) driven by an electric motor for adjusting the article of furniture. The adjustment is carried out by activating a key (7) on an operation panel (6,21). For interrupting the connection to the mains supply the article of furniture is equipped with a mains cut-off, which automatically connects the mains supply when the actuator system is adjusted and otherwise cuts off the connection to the mains supply. By means of an electric energy storage (14) the relay (9) in the mains cut-off may be activated and connect the mains supply when the article of furniture is adjusted. The electric charge of the energy storage is build up and preserved by a solar panel (8).</p> |
