Method for obtaining additional online information, to be carried out on a first computer, wherein the first computer has a communications link to a data server to obtain first information originating from the data server (WS), which entails: - obtaining the first information from at least a part of the content of a loaded web page; - comparing the first information with analysis data, wherein the analysis data include an indication of availability of second information associated with the first information; - obtaining the associated second information from a second database if the analysis data include the indication that second information associated with the first information is available, including the establishment of a communications link between the first computer and an information server for requesting the associated second information, wherein the information server includes the second database.
