PURPOSE: A method for controlling the brightness of a key button of a vehicle device is provided to enable a driver to efficiently select a desired key button using an ultrasonic sensor and an infrared sensor. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling the brightness of a key button of a vehicle device is as follows. Sensors installed in a key pad confirms a key button which is the nearest(S14). The LED of the confirmed key button is controlled to be a maximum brightness(S15). The sensors are composed of three or more ultrasonic sensors or infrared sensors.
