<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To selectively light up or switch off a segment of a string of a light-emitting diode (LED) driven by a current adjuster. <P>SOLUTION: A control circuit of a lamp system is provided. The lamp system includes first and second light-emitting diodes (LED) 102A, 102N that are connected in series to each other. The control circuit includes a current source 104 that is connected to the first LED 102A and supplies an adjusted drive current to the first and second LEDs 102A, 102N in order to light up the LEDs. The control circuit is equipped with a switching element 106 which is connected in parallel with the first LED 102A and makes the drive current bypass the first LED 102A and supplies it to the second LED 102N when the switching element 106 is active. The control circuit includes a controller 108 which selectively makes the switching element 106 active in order to selectively switch off the first LED 102A. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
