JOINT PIPE AND CLEANING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint pipe and a cleaning method for reducing variation of disposing positions of a cleaning member and performing efficient cleaning.

SOLUTION: The joint pipe 10 has a cylindrical part 12 with a flow path 14 formed therein, one end of the cylindrical part 12 being provided with a connection part 16. An opening/closing valve 20 is disposed to be adjacent to a step 22 in the cylindrical part 12. A tank 70 is connected to the connection part 16. A circular opening 16B for liquid flow is formed on the cylindrical part 12 side of the connection part 16, and an opening 16D with a diameter larger than the opening 16B is formed via a tapered part 16C continued to the opening 16B. A sponge member 30 is locked to the opening 16D in a compressed state. This configuration prevents dropping of the sponge member 30 and reduces the variation of setting positions of the sponge member 30.
