PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor which reduces processing time while converting a straight line vector into a curve when generating outline data of image data, such as a character, a figure, and a table. SOLUTION: A means 14 extracts outline pixels of the image data obtained by a scanner means 11, generates a straight line vector by connecting the extracted outline pixels, and determines whether middle one of the three continuous straight line vectors is smaller than a set value or not and whether the angle made by the straight lines on both sides is larger than a set value or not. If the middle straight line vector is smaller than the set value and the angle made by the other straight lines is larger than the set value, middle points of two straight line vectors formed by connecting the straight line vectors on both sides and the intersection on the extended lines of the straight lines on both sides are set as control points.
